Law Society of Scotland offers innovative AML training film to its members

The Law Society of Scotland is giving its members access to an innovative anti-money laundering (AML) film-based training tool produced by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). The tool is designed to enhance solicitors’ awareness of economic crimes, particularly money laundering.

The film dramatises examples of how easy it can be for professionals to become entangled in money laundering without the appropriate checks and controls in place. It also aims to provoke thought and discussion on making tough decisions and recognising red flags in professional environments, whilst supporting further staff training.

As the film has been produced by the ICAEW and licensed to the LSS it is only available to Law Society of Scotland members who can earn CPD credits for engaging with it.
