IBA Survey on Disciplinary Responses to Inappropriate Personal Conduct

The International Bar Association (IBA) Legal Policy & Research Unit (LPRU) and Bar Issues Commission (BIC) Regulation Committee are currently undertaking a global survey of regulators of the legal profession, looking at disciplinary responses to inappropriate personal conduct. This follows on from the IBA’s 2019 report Us Too? Bullying and Sexual Harassment in the Legal Profession.

The IBA would be most grateful if an appropriate representative from your regulatory authority might be able to undertake the survey in the coming weeks.

They have tried to keep the survey as brief as possible – it will not take more than 10-15 minutes to complete. Further context is provided on the first page of the survey. Responses are anonymous.

Any questions can be directed to kieran.pender@int-bar.org. We hope the ultimate research will be of help to you and other regulators.
