The UK Government has launched an Advisory AI Growth Lab, a new advisory sandbox intended to support the development and deployment of AI products and services. Legal services will be the first sector to participate, reflecting demand for clearer and more coordinated information on how existing regulatory frameworks apply to AI-enabled legal services.
The Lab will bring together the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the Council for Licensed Conveyancers, the Legal Services Board and the Information Commissioner’s Office. It is intended to help innovators identify cross-regulatory challenges, test AI products responsibly within existing frameworks, and support innovation while maintaining quality and improving access to justice.
